GREEN GREEN GRASS OF HOME
For the past few years Namibia has been experiencing a devastating drought that has had a detrimental impact on the country. What a blessing it has been to see this change once the rainy season started towards the end of 2020, with some areas receiving more rain in a couple of days than it had collectively received in the past nine years. Namibia has not been this green in nearly a decade with rivers flowing, dams at full capacity and signs of renewed life everywhere.

As Namibians we cannot relate to the saying ‘to save something for a rainy day’ as for us a rainy day can never be considered as something negative or gloomy. For us, rain represents life.
With water everywhere, we recently took the opportunity to get lost in the wild to explore our own backyard. If Covid-19 has taught us anything, it is to appreciate what we have at home. I miss international travel, however I am also really grateful for the opportunity to once again explore my own country for a change.

Here is a quick video of our trip…
